The Royal Road to Card Magic by Jean Hugard and Frederick Braue

Long before ‘Card College’, this was the go-to book for anyone wanting to learn card magic.

But don’t be fooled into thinking this is just for beginners, some of the tricks and techniques in this book will easily bamboozle some of the most hardened ‘professional magicians’ out there today.

I got my first copy almost twenty years ago and every few years I find myself flicking through the pages and nearly always discover something new. The pages are so packed with information and ideas it’s almost impossible not to find something you can’t put to use - and considering you can pick this up for less than £10 it has to rank as one of the best pound-for-pound magic books out there.
